    Fast swiming fish that do well with strong and intermitent water currents.

    Reasonably passive & non-aggresive, but very playful, similar to danios.

  • Additional Info:

    • Rainbows originate from Austaralia.

    • These are farmed raised.

    • They are hardy and easy to keep fish. However, they are more active and colorful with clean water & frequent water changes.

    • They benefit from fresh meat such as brine & mysid shrimp, daphnia, etc. You would probably be unwise to keep them without at least 25% raw feed in their diet. They like a high protein or average protein high quality flake feed. They tend to be carnivore orientated omnivores. A high quality diet and not being exposed to hunger is more important for them than for most other fish.

    • Able to live with some types of aggresive fish due to fast speed & adjility. One of the most manueverable FW fish we have observed.
